The original dev team launched this project with the intention of handing the control over to the community after the first big marketing push. On day 4 of the project, complete ownership was fully handed over to the community.

Mission Statement:

$ELMO is based on the iconic Sesame Street character we all loved as kids. Elmo made us laugh throughout our childhood and continues to do so today from all the memes that you see flooding social media. We are the only $ELMO community driven project on the Solana blockchain aiming to be the most universal meme and narrative in the ecosystem. $ELMO is both an homage to the past and a current representation of us all in the crypto memecoin space!
