Mitosis

Mitosis is a cross-chain protocol designed to make liquidity in DeFi more flexible and accessible. It takes users’ deposited tokens, locks them into Mitosis Vaults across different chains, and issues Hub Assets on the Mitosis Chain as representations of those deposits. These Hub Assets can then flow into two yield systems. The first, Ecosystem-Owned Liquidity, directs capital through governance-driven decisions. The second, Matrix, runs curated campaigns for yield opportunities. Each system issues its own programmable position tokens, miAssets for EOL and maAssets for Matrix.

What makes Mitosis different is that these tokens aren’t just static liquidity receipts. They’re composable, tradable, usable as collateral, and even restructured into new financial products. This programmability allows for advanced financial engineering and opens up opportunities for smaller users that are usually reserved for large players, thanks to liquidity aggregation. Governance plays a key role as well, giving token holders direct influence over how capital is allocated.

By combining a cross-chain settlement layer, modular design, and a focus on transparent price discovery, Mitosis sets out to redefine liquidity as something programmable, composable, and democratic in DeFi.
