What is Mærs (MARS)?

Mærs (MARS) is a community-driven ERC-20 token deployed on Ethereum Mainnet, built around a single guiding idea: that humanity's long-term expansion beyond Earth will require its own economic foundation. The project was created by a team based in the Brownsville–Matamoros border region, an area with close ties to SpaceX and its mission to reach Mars. That proximity inspired the founding question behind Mærs: what if a local community could be part of the next great Mars-related story from the very beginning, rather than after the fact?
The project launched on June 7, 2026 with a fixed total supply of 100,000,000 tokens — no minting function, no inflation mechanism. Of that supply, 90% was allocated directly to a public Uniswap V4 liquidity pool, which has since been permanently locked via Unicrypt (UNCX) until June 12, 2027. The remaining 10% is held by the founding team in cold-storage hardware wallets, separate from any liquidity pool funds.
The smart contract is verified and publicly auditable on Etherscan, and has been independently scanned by SolidityScan with no critical, high, or medium severity vulnerabilities identified. The team has chosen to remain anonymous at this stage, prioritizing operational flexibility while maintaining full on-chain transparency.
Since launch, Mærs has grown to 31 holders through entirely organic community engagement, with no paid promotion. The project maintains an official website, a published whitepaper detailing tokenomics and risk disclosures, and active community channels on Telegram and X, where daily updates are shared with full transparency about both progress and risk.
