Non-Playable Coin

Non-Playable Coin (NPC) is a meme coin and NFT hybrid built to represent every human on Earth—over 8 billion people. Its slogan, “I support the current coin,” nods to the viral non-playable character meme from 2018.

The project’s core innovation is the “Meme Fungible Token” (MFT) — a token that exists both as an ERC20 and an ERC1155 NFT. Each NPC token equals one human and can be converted 1:1 between its fungible and non-fungible forms. This bridges the liquidity of token markets like Uniswap with NFT marketplaces, creating a fluid, culture-driven asset that can exist in both worlds.

NPC was born from experimentation with NFT AMMs and the realization that traditional 10k NFT collections were capped by exclusivity and gas costs. It demonstrates how ERC1155 can scale communities to millions and unlock deeper liquidity through ERC20 interoperability.

Next, the team is introducing an NPC customization tool so holders can personalize and export their avatars as profile photos. They’re also building infrastructure to better connect ERC20 and ERC1155 liquidity, using NPC as the flagship example.
