OKB

OKB is the native cryptocurrency of the OK Blockchain Foundation and the Maltese-based exchange OKEx, one of the largest global trading platforms. Currently, OKEx ranks third in liquidity and fourth in trading volume, offering a broad range of trading pairs. While it shares similarities with Binance, there are key distinctions. For example, OKEx provides its own cloud mining services and places greater emphasis on options trading, whereas Binance takes a more global, all-encompassing approach to crypto services.

OKB serves as the utility token of OKEx, unlocking various platform benefits. Holders can use it to pay and calculate trading fees, participate in governance and voting, and receive rewards for holding the token.

Launched in 2017 as a spin-off from OKCoin (founded in China in 2013), OKEx quickly established itself as a leading crypto exchange. Unlike OKCoin, which now focuses on fiat-to-crypto exchanges, OKEx specializes in crypto-to-crypto trading, offering an API for algorithmic trading, multi-currency wallets, and margin trading features.
