RARI

$RARI is the governance and utility token behind the Rarible ecosystem. It’s an ERC-20 token with a fixed supply of 25 million, first launched in 2020. By holding and locking $RARI, you gain voting power within the RARI DAO, which directs the development of Rarible’s infrastructure and manages the RARI Foundation treasury.

At the core of this ecosystem are two key layers: the Rarible Protocol, an open-source NFT infrastructure for building marketplaces, wallets, and analytics tools, and RARI Chain, an Ethereum L3 designed for low-cost NFT transactions with royalties enforced directly at the node level.

The token distribution reflected this community-first approach: 10% airdropped to NFT holders, 60% reserved for rewarding builders and users on Rarible Protocol, and 30% allocated to the team and investors. This structure ensures that governance is in the hands of active participants, not just early insiders.
