BTC Price Analysis

About Bitcoin
Bitcoin is the first successful internet money based on peer-to-peer technology; whereby no central bank or authority is involved in the transaction and production of the Bitcoin currency. It was created by an anonymous individual/group under the name, Satoshi Nakamoto. The source code is available publicly as an open source project, anybody can look at it and be part of the developmental process. Bitcoin is changing the way we see money as we speak. The idea was to produce a means of exchange, independent of any central authority, that could be transferred electronically in a secure, verifiable and immutable way. It is a decentralized peer-to-peer internet currency making mobile payment easy, very low transaction fees, protects your identity, and it works anywhere all the time with no central authority and banks. Bitcoin is designed to have only 21 million BTC ever created, thus making it a deflationary currency. Bitcoin uses the SHA-256 hashing algorithm with an average transaction confirmation time of 10 minutes. Miners today are mining Bitcoin using ASIC chip dedicated to only mining Bitcoin, and the hash rate has shot up to peta hashes. Being the first successful online cryptography currency, Bitcoin has inspired other alternative currencies such as Litecoin, Peercoin, Primecoin, and so on. The cryptocurrency then took off with the innovation of the turing-complete smart contract by Ethereum which led to the development of other amazing projects such as EOS, Tron, and even crypto-collectibles such as CryptoKitties.
Market Overview
Bitcoin’s market fundamentals reflect a matured and highly active environment. With the circulating supply sitting at 19922553, the trading activity remains robust, as evidenced by a 24-hour volume of $58.94B and an average hourly volume of $74.91M. However, the sentiment among investors is overwhelmingly cautious, with the Fear & Greed Index registering 12, firmly within the 'Extreme Fear' classification. This indicates that the prevailing mood is risk-averse, likely influenced by recent price corrections and sustained downward momentum. While speculative participation persists, underlying apprehension can be seen in both the price action and conservative trading volumes relative to historical peaks.
Technical Analysis
The short-, medium-, and long-term technical indicators for Bitcoin are currently signaling a pronounced downward momentum. All major simple moving averages, spanning from 7-day to 200-day periods, continue to trend lower, suggesting that bearish sentiment remains dominant in the market. Alongside this, volatility over the past 24 hours has been measured at 0.14%, pointing to heightened price swings. The 1-hour price change shows modest upward movement, but with consecutive downward signals in moving averages, the overall trend appears to be under pressure. Traders should closely monitor momentum shifts as extended stretches below key averages may prompt further downside or, alternatively, create the conditions for a technical rebound.

Expert Prediction
From an analytical perspective, Bitcoin currently faces considerable headwinds driven by bearish technical patterns and market anxiety. The current price, at $117.14K, continues to encounter resistance just above key average levels, reflecting persistent skepticism among traders. Despite recent 24-hour price movement of -1.81%, the absence of fresh upward momentum and the prevailing extreme fear environment suggest caution. However, seasoned investors often view such sentiment-driven pullbacks as potential accumulation phases. Should broader market confidence return and fundamental support strengthen, Bitcoin has a history of recovering vigorously, but near-term outlooks remain heavily contingent on macro sentiment shifts.
