BTC Price Analysis

About Bitcoin
Bitcoin is the first successful internet money based on peer-to-peer technology; whereby no central bank or authority is involved in the transaction and production of the Bitcoin currency. It was created by an anonymous individual/group under the name, Satoshi Nakamoto. The source code is available publicly as an open source project, anybody can look at it and be part of the developmental process. Bitcoin is changing the way we see money as we speak. The idea was to produce a means of exchange, independent of any central authority, that could be transferred electronically in a secure, verifiable and immutable way. It is a decentralized peer-to-peer internet currency making mobile payment easy, very low transaction fees, protects your identity, and it works anywhere all the time with no central authority and banks. Bitcoin is designed to have only 21 million BTC ever created, thus making it a deflationary currency. Bitcoin uses the SHA-256 hashing algorithm with an average transaction confirmation time of 10 minutes. Miners today are mining Bitcoin using ASIC chip dedicated to only mining Bitcoin, and the hash rate has shot up to peta hashes. Being the first successful online cryptography currency, Bitcoin has inspired other alternative currencies such as Litecoin, Peercoin, Primecoin, and so on. The cryptocurrency then took off with the innovation of the turing-complete smart contract by Ethereum which led to the development of other amazing projects such as EOS, Tron, and even crypto-collectibles such as CryptoKitties.
Market Overview
From a macro perspective, Bitcoin maintains its dominant position with a circulating supply of 19922553, drawing sustained interest driven by its decentralized foundation. The asset currently trades at $117.14K, backed by a robust market capitalization standing at $2.33T. Trading volume remains healthy at $58.94B, underpinned by above-average liquidity through the latest 24-hour interval. However, the sentiment indicator registers a notable 9—classified as Extreme Fear—which may signal heightened caution among market participants. In periods where market fear is this pronounced, it’s not uncommon to see sharp yet opportunistic shifts, especially as long-term investors reassess their positions. The interplay between volume and sentiment often creates fertile ground for future volatility and potential price discovery.
Technical Analysis
Bitcoin's current technical landscape suggests a complex phase for the asset. Looking at the most recent simple moving averages, each key period—7, 30, 90, and 200 days—is trending downward, indicating sustained selling pressure. This is further echoed by the short-term price action, with the daily price movement highlighted by a -0.79% shift, reflective of ongoing market uncertainty. The 24-hour volatility at 0.14% signifies pronounced swings that may entice active traders, while potentially deterring risk-averse participants. Given that commonly watched moving averages are all sloping down, traders may anticipate further testing of support zones in the near term. However, such technical patterns often precede reversals, especially when market mood appears oversold.

Expert Prediction
Seasoned analysts observe that Bitcoin’s near-term prospects are defined by the interplay of technical and market signals. While the ongoing downdraft in average prices, evidenced by the direction of key moving averages, lends a bearish hue, many long-term observers remain undeterred. The prevailing atmosphere of Extreme Fear, as indicated by the sentiment gauge at 9, typically represents a period when price bottoms can form. Coupled with persistent activity represented by $1.36B, the groundwork appears set for a potential reversal should macroeconomic or regulatory catalysts emerge. Savvy institutional players may view current ranges as accumulating opportunities, anticipating future rebounds as volatility persists.
