In traditional finance, fixed income dwarfs equities and commodities, yet in crypto it’s still undeveloped due to the absence of critical infrastructure. The missing piece is a decentralized benchmark rate to standardize product development and settlement.

Treehouse introduces two key primitives to change this. DOR (Decentralized Offered Rates) is a decentralized rate-setting mechanism, modeled after LIBOR, that establishes on-chain term structures for yields. By combining panelist submissions of forward rate expectations with staking incentives for accuracy, DOR enables fixed-rate loans, swaps, and forward agreements, paving the way for a full-scale fixed income market in DeFi.

tAssets (LST 2.0) are liquid staking token wrappers that balance rate inefficiencies across lending markets. For instance, tETH aligns borrowing costs with ETH staking yields, offering users an enhanced return on top of LST yields. This stabilizes DeFi interest rates and underpins structured products and advanced yield strategies.

With DOR and tAssets together, Treehouse provides the foundation for a decentralized fixed income ecosystem, addressing volatility and fragmentation while unlocking scalable, institutional-grade products in crypto.
