Chainflip
What do we do? Chainflip is building the next generation of native cross-chain financial infrastructure, starting with seamless asset swapping and now expanding into cross-chain lending. We enable users to swap major crypto assets like BTC, ETH, and SOL across chains — without wrapped tokens— and have already processed almost $5 billion in trades since launch. Chainflip achieves this by running its own blockchain and a network of validators that control vaults across multiple ecosystems, making the user experience smooth, secure, and fast. The next big challenge is building a generalised cross-chain lending product, allowing users to borrow and lend native assets like BTC, ETH, or USDC directly, with no friction and no need to wrap, bridge, or manage multiple wallets. This is a huge leap forward for DeFi UX, and one of the most ambitious product challenges in the space. We’re a team of 30, deeply experienced and passionate about solving hard UX problems in crypto, like hiding the complexity of multi-chain workflows, making interactions work seamlessly, and turning powerful infrastructure into intuitive, elegant interfaces. Headquartered in Berlin, we champion flexible work styles, encouraging both in-office collaboration and the freedom of remote stints. If you’re excited to shape DeFi, we’d love to meet you. What’s the Job? We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager who will act as the bridge between our engineering, protocol, business, and marketing teams, helping to translate protocol innovation into powerful, accessible, and commercially successful products. You’ll be responsible for defining product strategy, prioritising development efforts, and ensuring alignment between our on-chain architecture, protocol design, and go-to-market execution. This role requires both deep technical understanding and strong product intuition to balance user experience, market positioning, and protocol scalability. You’ll work closely with our engineers and researchers to bring new features to life, collaborate with marketing on messaging and product launches, and partner with business development to ensure product-market fit in a rapidly evolving DeFi landscape. What you will do: Own the product roadmap across our swap and lending products, translating company strategy into clear, actionable priorities. Align technical, business, and user perspectives, ensuring trade-offs are transparent and decisions are grounded in data, user feedback, and protocol constraints. Collaborate with engineering and protocol teams to define product requirements, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines. Partner with marketing and BD teams to craft compelling narratives around product launches and ongoing feature adoption. Drive discovery and validation — run user interviews, analyze market trends, and define metrics for success across product lines. Communicate clearly and proactively across teams, ensuring alignment from idea to launch. Champion user experience — work closely with the design team to remove friction and simplify multi-chain interactions. Represent the voice of the product internally and externally — from roadmap discussions to conference panels. Founding Protocol Engineer (Web3 + AI)
Nethermind
About ChaosChain: The Mission ChaosChain is the accountability protocol for the on-chain AI economy. Today, AI agents are black boxes. It’s impossible to cryptographically verify their actions, which prevents them from being trusted with high-value commercial work. We are solving this. Our Triple-Verified Stack provides end-to-end cryptographic guarantees for autonomous agent workflows, turning black boxes into transparent, accountable services. We are building the foundational trust layer for the entire autonomous economy, and our live SDK is one of the first to integrate key standards like ERC-8004 and x402. We are a small, deeply technical team shaping the future of decentralized intelligence, and we are looking for a founding engineer to build it with us. The Role: What You’ll Build As our first engineering hire, you will be the technical cornerstone of ChaosChain. You will take our proven architecture and prototypes and lead the charge in building, testing, and deploying a production-ready, mainnet protocol. You will work directly with the founder to translate a powerful vision into secure, elegant, and scalable code. This isn’t just a coding job; you will be a co-architect of the trust layer for the future of the internet. Your responsibilities will include: Core Protocol Development: Design, build, test, and deploy our Solidity smart contracts, including the ChaosCore factory, StudioProxy architecture, and the RewardsDistributor engine. Integrate Cutting-Edge Tech: Implement the off-chain components of our protocol, including communication via XMTP and permanent data storage on IPFS/Arweave for our Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG). Ensure Security & Reliability: Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, and fork tests), participate in security audits, and build robust monitoring and alerting for our production systems. SDK & Tooling: Evolve our public Python and TypeScript SDKs into a world-class developer toolkit, ensuring they’re powerful, easy to use, and drive adoption. Protocol Architecture & Security: Work directly with the founder to shape the protocol’s roadmap, research new primitives (TEEs, ZK), and maintain an obsessive focus on security through rigorous testing and audit preparation. Partner Engineering: Collaborate directly with the engineering teams of our launch partners, like Gaia, EigenCloud and others, to ensure their agent ecosystems can seamlessly onboard and thrive on our platform. Shape the Roadmap: Collaborate directly with the founding team to define technical strategy, prioritize features, and navigate the path from testnet to mainnet and beyond. Who We’re Looking For: The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a product-minded protocol engineer who thrives on autonomy and wants to ship groundbreaking work. Must-Haves: Deep Solidity & EVM Expertise: You have demonstrable experience designing, building, and deploying complex, secure, and gas-efficient smart contracts. You are fluent in frameworks like Foundry or Hardhat. Full-Stack Web3 Fluency: You are an expert in TypeScript/Node.js and have deep experience with libraries like Ethers.js/Viem, building SDKs, and interacting with L2s. Experience with backend services (e.g., Fastify, Postgres/Supabase) is crucial. Protocol-Level Thinker: You understand concepts like cross-chain communication, transaction lifecycle, and the challenges of building on-chain + off-chain hybrid systems. A Builder’s Mindset: You have a portfolio (GitHub, side projects) that shows you love to build. You can take a high-level idea and ship a robust MVP in weeks, not months. Technical Leadership & Ownership: You don’t just write code; you lead technical decision-making. You are comfortable mentoring future hires, conducting code reviews, and making high-stakes architectural trade-offs without needing constant supervision. You treat the codebase as your own product. Velocity with Precision: We need a builder who ships fast to get market feedback but never compromises on security/testing. They should balance “move fast” with “don’t break the protocol.” First-Principles Thinking: We are inventing a new category. We need someone who solves problems by understanding the root mechanics (crypto/econ/AI), not just by copying existing patterns. Excellent Communication: You can clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves): Experience with Python, as our SDK and the agent ecosystem are Python-heavy. Familiarity with The Graph for building subgraphs and indexing on-chain data. A genuine interest in and understanding of the AI/LLM space. Experience with Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) or ZK primitives. Experience building or integrating payment systems. Why You Should Join ChaosChain Build the Future: You won’t be working on a derivative DeFi protocol. You will be building the foundational trust layer for the entire global autonomous economy. The work you do here will matter for decades. Founding Equity & Impact: As a critical early hire, you will receive a significant equity/token allocation and have a direct hand in shaping our technology, product, and culture. Work with the Best: You will work directly with the core innovators shaping standards like ERC-8004 and collaborate with leading ecosystems. Solve the Hardest Problems: This is a role for those who are intellectually curious and want to solve the most challenging problems at the intersection of cryptography, economics, and artificial intelligence. World-Class Ecosystem: We are deeply integrated with and respected by leaders in the space, including the teams at the Ethereum Foundation, EigenLayer, Chainlink, and more.

Research Engineer
Plasma
Plasma is a purpose-built blockchain for stablecoin payments. Engineered from the ground up to address the unique needs of stablecoins, Plasma provides a scalable, efficient, and secure foundation for the next generation of money movement. We believe stablecoins can transform global finance and improve financial access worldwide. To reach the next level of adoption, dedicated and purpose-built infrastructure is required. We are looking for a Research Engineer to join the team. This is a high-impact role which will involve creating initiatives to develop our chain from the specific lens of optimising Plasma One, our stablecoin-focused neobank. What You Will Do Turn ill-defined problems into executable plans: clarify the problem, identify constraints, define success metrics, and propose a small number of viable approaches. Evaluate build vs buy decisions for cryptography and privacy, e.g. confidentiality mechanisms and confidential transaction designs: assess existing solutions, identify gaps, and recommend whether to integrate, adapt, or design anew. Produce high-quality design specifications that engineers can implement: threat models, protocol sketches, interface boundaries, performance assumptions, and roll-out considerations. Build proofs-of-concept where useful to validate feasibility, performance, and integration risk (coding is important, but not the primary focus of the role). Research and recommend improvements across key protocol concerns, including (but not limited to): Zero-knowledge and applied cryptography Block propagation and networking Consensus and finality trade-offs Latency reduction and performance tuning Communicate trade-offs clearly across functions (Product, Research, Engineering, Platform): help align “where we want to go” with “how we get there” and what is realistically deliverable. Operate with focus and leverage: work as part of a small research group (2–3 people maximum), prioritising the highest-impact investigations and unblocking others through clear guidance. Maintain high standards of rigour: produce work that stands up to scrutiny (security assumptions, adversarial thinking, and correctness), while staying grounded in what’s practical to ship. Who You Are A researcher at heart who can also build: you can take an idea from “promising on paper” to “credible in practice”. Comfortable operating in ambiguity: you enjoy shaping ill-defined problems into clear questions, options, and decisions. Pragmatic and product-aware: you balance what’s possible with what’s worthwhile, and you know when to integrate existing solutions vs building something novel. Cryptography- and protocol-minded: you think in terms of trade-offs, adversaries, performance constraints, and real-world deployment. Clear communicator: you can explain complex technical choices simply, and produce crisp artefacts (design specs, evaluations) that engineers can execute. Opinionated but evidence-led: you can propose a direction, defend it, and change your mind quickly when the data says so. Comfortable working closely with leadership and across functions, reporting into our CTO and collaborating with our Product and Engineering teams. Nice to Have Strong publication track record, particularly in top-tier security/crypto venues (e.g. IEEE S&P, CCS, NDSS, USENIX Security, Financial Cryptography) or equivalent demonstrated impact. Experience with real-world ZK systems (proving systems, circuit design trade-offs, verifier constraints, performance/security considerations). Prior work on protocol performance: block propagation, mempool dynamics, networking under adversarial conditions, latency/finality trade-offs. Applied cryptography experience beyond papers: taking ideas from research into prototype implementations and production-minded designs. Comfortable forming and defending technical opinions: you can propose a direction, explain why, and update your view quickly when evidence changes. Familiarity with modern blockchain protocol design, especially areas adjacent to privacy, throughput, and latency (rather than unrelated academic optimisation problems). Team Culture At Plasma, you’ll be joining a team that’s redefining how the world interacts with money. We’re building the best team in the world - people who are relentless about their craft and expect the same from you. This is not the place for half measures; it’s where you’ll do the hardest, most meaningful work of your career alongside those who demand excellence of themselves and everyone around them. We work with trust, clarity, and ambition. Everyone owns their craft and contributes beyond it, moving fast and backing each other to deliver. Our culture is built for those who thrive on challenge and want to leave a mark → because here, good isn’t good enough. Salary and Benefits At Plasma, we provide each team member with the tools they need to succeed. Benefits for full-time employees include: An above market salary with token compensation Comprehensive insurance coverage with premiums for you and your family covered by Plasma Monthly wellness stipends Visa sponsorships and re-location benefits Offices located in the heart of London, including access to a gym and daily lunches Generous annual software and hardware allowances and a flexible time off policy We look after you. Data Protection & PrivacyWe are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. Any personal information you provide during the recruitment process will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable local data protection laws.

Aptos
Aptos is a people-first blockchain on a mission to help billions of people achieve universal and fair access to decentralized assets in a safe and scalable way. Founded by some of the original creators and maintainers that researched, designed, and built the Diem blockchain to serve this purpose, we have dedicated several years toward this mission. We believe the open-source Diem technology we have developed is an important foundation of a safe and scalable web3 world where everyone has more equitable opportunities to grow and access financial assets with lower fees and fewer intermediaries. Aptos (Ohlone for "The People") encompasses our mission and ethos for why we build. About DecibelDecibel is building the next generation of institutional-grade digital asset trading infrastructure—combining systematic strategies, enterprise-level risk controls, and a high-performance execution environment. As we scale our trading operations and expand strategy breadth, we are hiring a Lead Quant Developer / Architect to own the architecture and engineering foundations of our algorithmic trading platform. The RoleWe are looking for an experienced quantitative developer with deep architecture, systems design, and low-latency engineering expertise to build and evolve the core of Decibel’s trading stack. The ideal candidate is someone who has operated in 50/50 quant strategy + core engineering environments, but is now ready to go 80–90% engineering/architecture—designing systems from scratch while collaborating tightly with a strategist. You will directly shape the next generation of Decibel’s execution, data, and research infrastructure. What You'll Do Architecture & Core Engineering Own the end-to-end architecture of Decibel’s algorithmic trading system, including execution engine, strategy framework, and data pipelines. Design and build low-latency, high-throughput services to support spot, perp, options, and multi-venue crypto markets. Create the foundational codebase that enables scalable strategy development, backtesting, simulation, and deployment. Establish engineering standards, modularity, code quality, and system reliability across the trading stack. Algorithmic & Quant Engineering Translate high-level trading hypotheses into robust, production-ready execution logic. Build reusable libraries for market data normalization, signal routing, risk filters, position management, and real-time analytics. Partner with Head of Trading on shaping execution logic, slippage mitigation, and adaptive algo behavior.
